Chief Minister Pinarai Vijayan on Monday directed that works should be speeded up to realise the project by March.

KPCC president Sudheeran faces concerted attacks in KPCC executive

Thiruvananthapuram: Concerted attacks against KPCC president V. M. Sudheeran continued on the second day of KPCC executive meeting convened to discuss the election debacle at Neyyar on Sunday.

There were demands for leadership change and organisational elections.

Mr. Sudheeran announced after the discussions that the corrective steps would be taken in the working of the party which will stay united. Party committees would be reconstituted from the booth level to KPCC.

Thiruvananthapuram: Congress leaders came under attack at the KPCC camp executive held on Saturday.

Senior leader A. K. Antony, KPCC President V. M. Sudheeran, Oommen Chandy and others faced severe criticism from younger members. There was also call for a generation change in leadership and change in style of functioning of the party. Corrupt people lacking credibility was in the leadership. Leaders like Antony were keeping silence on issues while the Central leadership was even incapable of organising an agitation.
