Overseas Keralite to contest in Assembly elections

Thiruvananthapuram: An overseas Malayalee will be contesting in the Assembly elections from Aranmula constituency in Pathanamthita district.

Kurian Prakkanam will be contesting as an independent under the banner of Malayali Munnani highlighting the neglect and inaction by governments towards welfare of overseas Keralites.

Mr. Prakkanam is a journalist and president of Indian Pravasi Congress Committee and president of Fokana (Canada Region) and president of Brampton Malayalee Samajam (Canada).
