Thiruvananthapuram: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Kerala on December 14 and 15.
This will be his first visit to the State after becoming the Prime Minister.
An official release said that Mr. Modi would arrive on an Air Force jet at the Naval Air Station in Kochi on December 14 evening. After reception there, he would go to Thrissur by helicopter to address a public meeting there.
The Prime Minister will stay overnight in Kochi. His programme in Kochi will include inspection of a triservices guard of honour and joint meeting of commanders on INS Vikramaditya.
He will leave Kochi in the afternoon for Kollam where he will unveil a statue of R. Sankar, former Chief Minister of Kerala. Then, Mr. Modi will go to Sivagiri (Varkala) where he will pay obeisance to Sree Narayana Guru and plant a tree.
The Prime Minister will return to Delhi from Thiruvananthapuram in the evening.
