VACB to collect intelligence on frauds

VACB CircularThiruvananthapuram: The Vigilance and Anti-corruption Bureau has started a drive to collect intelligence on frauds.

Vigilance Director Jacob Thomas has directed all officers and staff of all units of the Bureau to collect intelligence on emerging corruption-linked frauds and potential future frauds and send details periodically to the computer cell of the Bureau. This would be updated on Bureau Web site and social media.

The Director said in a circular that awareness creation about the present frauds and frauds possible in future should be done among local communities through local media and interactive sessions.

The circular lists a number of frauds that are possible in future such as cyber frauds, job and interview frauds, miracle health frauds, admission frauds, deposit frauds, fashion frauds, anti-aging frauds, publishing frauds, political frauds, spiritual frauds, dating fraud, insurance fraud, mortgage club fraud, holiday club fraud, slimming cures fraud and work from home fraud.
