Chief Minister to take classes for pupils

Chief Minister Pinarai VijayanThiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarai Vijayan and ministers will be taking classes for pupils on the Teachers’ Day (September 5).

Teachers’ Day is celebrated in honour of teachers. This year, the Chief Minister will be inaugurating the programme by taking a class on ‘life style’ to students at the Attakulangara Central High School in Thiruvananthapuram.

Ministers for Finance, Health, Local Self Government and Education will also take classes at the school to create awareness about various issues. The subjects will include drug abuse, alcoholism, laziness, life style diseases, use of tobacco products, and unhealthy food habits.

The Kerala Cabinet decided on Wednesday that besides the ministers, members of Assembly should also take classes in different schools. School level programmes will include classes by retired teachers.
