LDF wins 10 seats in LSG by-election

Thiruvananthapuram: The LDF has won in 10 of the 14 wards of local bodies to which by-elections were held on Friday. The UDF won three seats and the BJP one, an official release from State Election Commission said on Saturday.

The 14 wards were spread across eight districts. The LDF wrested three seats from the UDF—Seemanthapuram and Padinjaremoola in Thiruvananthapuram district and Anbatham mile in Idukki district. The UDF wrested Areacode in Kozhikode district from LDF. The BJP retained Mepparambu in Palakkad district.
