Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Government will be filing an appeal before the High Court against stay granted to demolition of part of Rajadhani buildings in the city belonging to Kerala Bar Hotel Owners Association leader Biju Ramesh under Operation Anantha programme.
The Chief Secretary Jiji Thomson, who received the file in this regard from the Revenue Department, issued directions in this regard.
Kerala Congress (M) leader Joseph M. Puthussery had alleged in a letter to Chief Minister Oommen Chandy that the Revenue Department was sitting on the file. He wanted immediate action to vacate the stay and demolish constructions on encroached government puramboke land forming part of Thekkanakkara canal at East Fort.
Mr. Ramesh maintains that the government action against him was vindictive as he had raised allegations of bribery against Finance Minister K. M. Mani who was forced to resign.
